Intel Software/Hardware Signal Integrity Engineer Intern in Folsom, California

Job Description

Come intern with one of the largest electrical engineering companies in the world!

The selected candidate's responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates complex analog and mixed signal electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for analog and mixed signal electronic equipment and other hardware systems.

  • Determines creative design approaches and parameters.

  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data.

  • Conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.

  • Applies and uses independent evaluation to selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.

  • Evaluates practical capability of vendor to support product development.

  • Also includes Analog, MixedSignal and RF Development Engineers.

  • Develops test programs to verify health readiness of DDR5 and LPDDR5 memory and their suitability for use with Intel's latest CPUs.


You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 3 months experience in:

  • Languages such as C/C++ and/or Python.

  • Windows/Linux operating system fundamentals.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Computer architecture, RF, power integrity, power delivery, debug, I/O, device driver, voltage regulator, heat transfer, or thermodynamics.

  • Lab skills such as multimeter, oscilloscope, BERT, system and bench testing.

  • PC Architecture, DDR, DRAM and Signal Integrity concepts.
