Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
OYEP Supervisors are responsible for the supervision and safety of youth and staff for duration of the program. Supervisors need to maintain a clean, and orderly presentation of camp and operations at all times. Supervisors are required to provide constant and supportive supervision guidance for staff for the participants and assist with any questions and situations that may arise. Specifically, Supervisors needs to maintain a safe and predictable environment for all of camp, be clear about the program schedule, provide the final judgement call on disciplinary situations, and ensure all staff and participants understand their roles and responsibilities in camp. In addition, Supervisors needs to be a positive and productive role model for youth at all times.
Your work will include but is not limited to:
Provide assistance in all work projects and classroom sessions
Maintain and enforce Outland’s workplace health and safety regulations
Reporting near misses and safety incidents to Safety Office
Monitor staff and Ranger’s safe operating procedures and PPE compliance
Promote healthy living behaviors, including:
Smoke free lifestyle
Healthy eating habits
Active lifestyle
Social acceptance/ cohesive group living
Operate as an organized team with Crew Leaders and management- in -training to ensure there is constant support in all situations
Communicate with other management to ensure adequate support is given
Inform other management as to your whereabouts at all times
Work with management- in- training to develop their skills and prepare them for Crew Leader responsibilities in the future
Document and reflect on daily activities and come to evening management meetings with insightful comments and suggestions
Ensure staff and Rangers are meeting behavioral standards at all times
Complete and submit weekly reports to SharePoint.
Complete and submit daily payroll
Manage weekly activity schedule and timelines
Maintain Partner relations

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Applicants with backgrounds or interests in social, education, and training environments.
Must be available to work at minimum for July and August (7 week work contract)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of MS Office and administrative skills
Must have a valid driver’s license and in good standing (clean driver’s abstract)
Current Level 1 First Aid certificate is an asset.
Be able to handle the following physical demands:
Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
Climb ladders or stairs.
Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time.
Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands.
Perform work with arms at full length.
Work with arms above shoulder height.
