We are hiring an experienced Sr. Project Manager for Traffic Engineering for our growing team/office in Edmonton Alberta. Our team of transportation experts perform traffic planning, traffic design, analysis, ITS design and complex modeling solutions and we are adding a Sr. PM for this functional area to our team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you will lead the traffic design, modeling and analysis for the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project, as well as support other major design projects in Western Canada. We offer the opportunity to work remotely from home, with the expectation to travel to project field sites and Parsons offices as needed.

Using your technical expertise, you will ensure the highest quality is put forth to meet all client and project requirements. Our Project Managers are heavily involved in identifying new business and participate in the proposal process, and then stay technically hands on throughout the life cycle of the project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage traffic engineering design resources, as well as manage the budget, schedule, fiscal, and quality aspects of your assigned projects

  • Contribute in all aspects of project development including the design, technical report writing, and state-of-the-art traffic modeling and the creation of construction documentation

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations and public workshops


  • 15+ years of related project execution and/or program management experience for Traffic design programs that involve large scope modeling and analysis and construction.

  • Experience with Design/Build project is required.

  • Significant experience with Traffic design, analysis and modeling of large complex roadway projects

  • The incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background and direct experience with Alberta Ministry of Transportation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a graduate engineering degree is preferred

  • P. Eng registration in Alberta Canada is required

  • Ability and willingness to travel to support client and project teams, as projects dictate
