The Brick is actively seeking to expand our finance team. We need enthusiastic people with a great customer focused attitude! Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, the Manager of Planning will be in-charge of the following:
Responsibilities
Manage rent rolls, utility bills, CAM and property tax reconciliation
Assist Tax Consultants to provide information for property tax appeals
Approve journal entries, account reconciliations and occupancy related invoices
Prepare occupancy budget
Prepare capex budget
Provide monthly occupancy variance analysis
Maintain IFRS Rent Schedule and reconcile to the Trial Balance
Update Lease Summary monthly
Prepare Business Cases to support Real Estate business planning
Prepare Business Cases for other projects and initiatives in the company
Post Audit reviews of Capital Projects
Manage Daily Sales Projection
Ad hoc analysis to support planning for all lines of business
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge in Excel
Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles and procedures
Basic knowledge in Oracle and Essbase
Advanced communication skills
Advanced analytical skills
Excellent attention to details
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
Completion of or working towards an Accounting designation
At least (3) three years of Accounting experience in a supervisory capacity
Real Estate experience is considered an asset
