Agiliti Health Scrum Master - Bloomington, MN in Edina, Minnesota

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Agiliti is seeking an experienced and passionate program leader with a background in SAP and the ServiceNow Platform to play a key role in a large multi-year cross functional digital transformation initiative. This individual should have a deep understanding of the agile scrum framework and be willing to step in and make an immediate impact as Agiliti target’s multiple iterative releases.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guiding multiple teams on Agile/Scrum best practices, living agile values, getting the most out of self-organization and how to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks

  • Identify improvement areas and implement recommendations.

  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution to ensure scope and on-time delivery.

  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information across teams as well as up to senior leadership

  • Supporting and educating our evolving Product organization, especially on grooming and maintaining the product and sprint backlog as well as track to key performance metrics

  • Help team to define and meet Day-to-day and Day-of-release responsibilities.

  • Help Architect write technical stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Identify dependencies and ensure no delays in accomplishing sprint and project/program goals.

  • Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example

  • Ensure best engineering practices like Definition of Done, coding standards and compliance, automation, etc., meet/ exceed company standards.

  • Remove interferences to ensure team is working efficiently.

  • Act as a bridge between teams to meet committed delivery timelines.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to effectively communicate program status to senior leadership.

  • Experience as a program manager of multiple teams delivering an enterprise platform

  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.

  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

  • Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown technologies, various Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)

  • Help Product owner to validate completed features during sprint.

  • Experience working with vendor & internal teams to deliver solutions.

  • Ability to articulate technical issues outside team to get quicker resolution.

  • Ability to lead geographically distributed teams.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related degree.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.

  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

RELEASE MANAGEMENT

  • Deep understanding of release and roll-out planning.

  • Experience in creating and managing runbook and leading release execution and co-ordination.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Ability to represent the team in scrum of scrum and other program governance meetings to provide updates on milestones and challenges.

  • Effectively persuade team to achieve better outcomes, conflict resolution across teams and instill positive energy within the team.

  • Help teams meet stakeholder expectations.

  • Track and communicate project/ program level metrics to stakeholders.

COACHING & FACILITATION

  • Coach and mentor team members and Product owners on agile capabilities, self-organization, etc.,

  • Guide teams on development of technical artifacts that can be used for future reference and track critical information & technical debt.

  • Help team to maintain right level of documentation required for effective knowledge management..
