Job Description:
Our well-established Private Wealth Advisory team of Ameriprise Financial is looking to hire the right individual to help service and grow our thriving financial advisory practice. The ideal individual has strong ethics, confidence in their abilities, good communication skills, and is willing to learn and grow. The immediate responsibility of this role is to provide key support for the lead financial advisor, while learning how to provide exceptional service and advice to clients. The development opportunity over time for the individual in this role would be to transition to be a financial advisor.

Paraplanner/Associate Financial Advisor
Responsibilities:
Role:
Participate in meetings with clients, taking notes, documenting follow up items, as well as relaying activities and tasks to other staff.
Build relationships with clients to better serve and support them.
Analyze client financial situations and develop financial plans.
Write financial planning summary letters.
Follow-up on client calls and requests.
Support market research and portfolio management.

Required Qualifications:
Education, experience, and other designations preferred:
College degree or higher
2+ years of similar experience preferred but not necessary
Already have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including: Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses
Ideally some financial planning experience and have, or be willing to obtain, the Certified Financial Planning practitioner certificate.
