As a Sr. Manage, Data Analytics, you will lead a team of ETL developers and analysts who are at the forefront of a centralized reporting and analytics function supporting health and wellbeing products. This position will be responsible for developing and managing data pipelines and resources that have a global impact on customer experience, business operations and strategic enhancements. As a valued member of the Optum reporting and data management team, you may make recommendations to leadership based on your analysis and provide explanations of reporting results as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with key functional leaders, reporting development teams and IT to develop and maintain a data management and reporting strategy for health and wellbeing products
Management and manipulation of mostly structured data
Delivering Business Intelligence solutions using Agile software development process
Conducting analysis, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality
Creating specifications to bring data into a common structure
Creating product specifications and reporting models
Performing data analysis and interpreting data/business insights
Develop and maintain data preparation and validation routines to support data mining
Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information, collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to complement data, design workflows and procedures
Developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the internal/external stakeholder and leadership
Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
Identify production and non-production application issues
Ability to quickly analyze existing code, identify performance/reliability/scalability issues, propose solutions, and code optimization/updates as required
Provide technical support and consultation for database and infrastructure questions

Required Qualifications:
7+ years of Data engineering experience with a focus on Data Warehousing
7+ years of experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.
5+ years of experience creating data workflows / pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools
5+ years of experience creating stored procedures with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or Snowflake SQL
5+ years analyzing project requirements and developing detailed specifications for ETL requirements
5+ years of experience processing structured and un-structured data
3+ years of experience with GitHub, or similar source control systems
Proven excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines
Proven ability to adapt to evolving technologies and changing business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with healthcare data
Experience in Aha!/CA Rally Agile tools

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
