Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop dashboards that translate data into visual insights that are easy to understand, can impact decisions, and drive business goals

  • Work with data sources and data flows to ensure accuracy, validity, and data integrity

  • Assist with actionable KPIs, tracking and creating more efficient and automated workflows

  • Participate in the development and expansion of our BI platform

  • Ability to extract and write Business Requirements and translate into Functional/Technical Specification documents

  • Analyze systems to assess data sources for ingestion into a Marketing Reporting platform (DOMO)

  • Develop QA and User Acceptance Plan (UAT) and Testing in coordination project and business leads

  • Provide leadership and project management in a cross-team environment

  • Excel at problem solving, identifying the root cause and approach a challenge in multiple ways

  • Proactively troubleshoot data quality issues by identifying the root cause of data discrepancies and determining and implementing recommendations for resolution

  • Work with business counterparts on operational readiness activities to ensure that necessary training and procedure updates have occurred

  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and constantly shifting timelines in a fast-paced complex environment

  • Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all data related to initiatives supporting Marketing strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of business analyst experience

  • 3+ years of experience data related experience including building, manipulating, updating and transferring large datasets

  • 2+ years of experience with visualization tools such as DOMO, Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview

  • 2+ years of QA/UAT experience; ability to define the data validation plan based on the project requirements.

  • Intermediate SQL knowledge is a must including but not limited to MYSQL, Redshift, T-SQL, PostGRES, Oracle SQL or SQL Server

  • Ability to write/understand complex SQL queries involving advanced unions, joins, aggregations, and groups

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel analyzing large data sets.

  • Understanding of data warehousing or data engineering concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics and/or data modeling or relevant area

  • Experience with Windows Functions, Common Table Expressions (CTE's), Case Statements, and Derived Tables

  • Experience in at least one scripting language such as Javascript, R, Python, SAS

  • Excellent communication abilities and compelling presentation skills

  • Data analytics and dashboarding experience

  • Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
