The Senior Director, Revenue Services Analytics Product Leader is responsible to drive Revenue Cycle Services analytics strategy and supports execution of the strategy across our Market Performance Partnerships and Standalone Commercial solutions. The role will work alongside cross functional teams inclusive of Growth, Engineering and Operations, to ensure we are all aligned on a unified strategy while successfully executing on that strategy. The Revenue Services Analytics Product Lead must align the strategy including solutions utilized internally (e.g., Lifecycle Operational Analytics), native Revenue Services products (e.g., Electronic Financial Record (EFR) Analytics) and externally sold analytics (e.g., Enterprise Intelligence Platform). This individual will work alongside members from across Optum to solve complex business needs for our external customers and internal operations teams to ultimately set our strategic direction that optimizes overall business performance. The ideal candidate for this role must be passionate about driving improvements in our Revenue Services business, effective at working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and confident in their interactions with senior leaders, providers, and business partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Owns the What/Why of internally utilized and externally sold Analytics

  • Owns Revenue Services Analytics Product Roadmap and collaborates on cross Optum analytics roadmaps

  • Lead and participate in the development of analytics strategy inclusive of underlying platform

  • Predict emerging needs in the Revenue Services market and develop innovative analytics solutions to meet them

  • Develop and manage business plans to achieve objectives

  • Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences

  • Influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches

  • Lead voice of the Revenue Services analytics products, supporting strategic on-sites, growth opportunities and RFP development

  • Manage a team of product owners in a matrixed organization

  • Influence innovation across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across multiple areas including engineering, technology, growth, marketing, and operations

  • Strategic ownership over analytics platforms positioned within Revenue Services -either internally leveraged products or available externally on the market

  • Full product lifecycle management, including: strategy, design, development, management and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products

  • Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings

  • Delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs

  • To and/or own the P&L. Partner with internal or external stakeholders (key customers, product partnerships, etc.) to define and drive future product direction

  • Works with Finance and other matrix partnership to define pricing/costing structures for analytics products

  • Coordinates with Product Operations and Engineering on rollout strategy for analytics products

  • Works across the matrix to support actual adoption of new features and functions of specific analytics products

  • Establishes GTM messaging and compelling Analytics Services Product value prop - for externally sold analytics

  • Own strategic engagement with Customer Advisory Board, Third Party Advisors, Analysts and Strategic Partners

  • Thought Leader serving as the face to the market - inclusive of presenting at client demonstrations, national conferences and user forums

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience working in healthcare solutions

  • 5+ years of Product Management/ Product Sales / Product Development experience

  • 5+ years of experience with healthcare analytics and data management

  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

  • Experience with effectively presenting to Senior Management

  • Understanding of BI technology (e.g., PowerBI) and associated technical platforms (e.g., Big Data Platforms, Data Warehouse, etc.)

  • Proven ability to use Microsoft products, develop and deliver presentations

  • Demonstrated business leadership

  • Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

  • Proficient in interpreting and analyzing data to support decision making – inclusive of ability to support synthesis of pricing, financial models and business cases

  • Able and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $147,300 to $282,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
