Manages a specific good or service available externally on the market that can be sold stand-alone, and that directly generates revenue. Responsible for some aspects of product lifecycle management, including strategy, design, development, management for new, existing or acquisition products. Has a proven track record of putting forth solutions that are out of the box and encourages innovative thought leadership. Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs to identify new opportunities or adjust current product offerings. Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs. Accountable to and/or own the P&L. Partner with internal or external stakeholders (key customers, product partnerships, etc.) to define and drive future product direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team focused on the definition and execution of large, cross team initiatives that are highly visible to senior leadership

  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements

  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems

  • Solves complex problems and/or conducts complex analyses

  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

  • Translates concepts into practice

  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues

  • Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others

  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a product management role

  • 2+ years of experience working with scrum teams in an Agile framework

  • 2+ years working with virtual teams on a daily basis

  • 2+ years of experience directly managing individual contributors

  • 2+ years of experience influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare, preferably in a provider, hospital or revenue cycle management setting

  • 1+ year of experience with creating new integrations between products

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $134,200 to $257,700. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $134,200 to $257,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
