Enterprise Technology Infrastructure, Platforms & Services (ETIPS) delivers services and operational support to meet business integration objectives. Architecture leadership to provide scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions to meet care delivery business needs and enable future business growth.

In this position you will be contributing to efforts to Evaluate, Enable, Improve, and Secure the Public Gov Cloud Platforms. Contributing to and improving on going Public Gov Cloud Platform operational items (FinOps, SecOps, CustOps, & TechOps). Supporting Public Gov Cloud Platform enabling products both proactive and reactive.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate the public gov cloud enablement products and services

  • Identify and implement Tenant/Organization configuration gaps and best practices

  • Become a SME on the products and services used to enable the public gov cloud for the enterprise

  • Support management updates, status reporting, and dashboards from a platform health and security perspective to demonstrate platform progress and process maturity. Adhoc data pulls where reporting and dashboards are not in place

  • Enable and support product engineering teams hosting of products and services in the gov cloud. Breakfix coding in the platform enabling products

  • Gov Cloud Hygiene; inventory management, lifecycle management, Key rotations, Security, and Financial

  • High Priority on call support owning and driving remediation of major service events

  • Partner with security, compliance, and identity and access management to identify and implement cloud platform gaps

  • Create and Maintain customer documentation including FAQs

  • Partner with Product leadership to complete work, provide requirements, and stake holder input

  • Work with Cloud hosting vendors pushing boundaries on organization cloud platform configuration

  • Assist vetting customer requests and creating recommendation to leadership for new and non-standard Cloud Services and integrations

The complexity of this role can be challenging. We work on cloud platform enablement where public gov cloud accounts host healthcare technology products and services. Everything you work on will have implications that impact others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years equivalent experience

  • 2+ years working in a DevOps model

  • 2+ years of experience architecting, delivering, and operating large scale, highly available system

  • 2+ years of experience with at least 1 DevOps engineering/scripting tool such as Jenkins, Terraform, CLI, Powershell, Python

  • 1+ years of experience in a fast paced, Agile, continuous integration environment

  • 1+ years of experience in Systems Monitoring, Alerting and Analytics

  • 1+ years of experience in Log aggregation reporting tools, such as: Elasticsearch, Splunk

  • Ability to obtain NAC clearance

  • United States Citizenship 

  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Experience in managing and using a Public Cloud Platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)

  • Experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope

  • Healthcare Industry experience

  • Familiarity with IT standards and best practices, audit, security and compliance (ex: ITIL, ITSM, SOC2, HIPAA, NIST, HITRUST CSF)

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86, (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
