This role will support UHG’s enterprise approach to modernize how we connect with customers and consumers. This role is part of an enterprise-wide program to transform the way marketing technology is used across the organization. The resource will join the delivery team as a project manager, helping advance critical initiatives working alongside cross-functional teams. This role will support tracking against critical project milestones and delivery reporting to ensure teams remain on track while providing visibility to the highest executive level. The team operates in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment, and is looking for a resource to match the dynamic nature of day-to-day activities and expand the high performing core team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, build, and deploy Project Management Office principles and standards utilizing project management tools: Charter/Scope documents, Project Plan, IRAAD/Issue Log, Lessons Learned, Requirements Matrix, portfolio tracking, etc.

  • Provide clear executive communications (oral and written) and create written updates for the highest level of leadership on program progress

  • Monitor and document project milestones and outcomes throughout the project lifecycle

  • Facilitate status updates and review of programs closely with program leadership

  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify issues, establish objectives, develop recommendations, and implement solutions

  • Provide work stream/project oversight, manage and track issue resolution

  • Drive outcomes without direct authority, engaging team members in a cross-functional environment

  • Effectively build and maintain relationships with cross functional business partners

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in any of the following areas: Management Consulting, Project/Program Management, Product Management, Process Improvement, or Business Analysis

  • 1+ years of building/creating project deliverables with the ability to manage complex work-streams in a client facing role

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, and report progress against program milestones

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive results in a dynamic, matrixed environment with a high degree of organizational change, growth, and ambiguity

  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, fast learner, with communication skills to cater messaging and reporting to different audiences

  • Solid Microsoft suite core capabilities (primarily PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years strategy, management consulting, product or general management in a health care related field

  • Experience or understanding of agile / scrum frameworks

  • Experience working in a professional consulting organization or working in the healthcare industry

  • Process improvement and/or six sigma certification

  • Experience in large matrixed environments

  • Ability to work in a highly technical, fast-paced environment

  • Solid interpersonal skills

  • Extremely organized and proactive individual that has experience working in complex programs or organizations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
