UnitedHealth Group Lead Digital Product Manager - Pharmacy - Remote in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

This role is a Sr. Product Manager role in a highly mature Product Management team. This role is focused on building best in class digital experience for Specialty Pharmacy Patients. You will be working closely with Business, Operations, Technology, Design, Analytics, and colleagues from Product team. You will be making Product Decisions every day, driving KPIs and goals for your product.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Defines and support capabilities from specific business problems / market needs.

  • Drives creation of strategic themes (capabilities) to define and roadmap long running initiatives.

  • Ability to work across multiple products to identify synergies.

  • Act as the liaison between Business, Engineering Teams and project management groups.

  • Lead and mentor other Product Owners & Product Managers

  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to analyze market trends, monitor operational reporting, and review operational performance against expectations to proactively identify and recommend needed product enhancements.

  • Work closely with Senior Leadership and cross functional team of Digital Product owners, Engineers, QA, Clinicians, Pharmacists and marketers to strategize, design and launch the product for enduring revenue growth.

  • Prioritize long term and short-term product goals and manage the financials against those desired outcomes.

  • Define the MBO’s to measure success, monitor and analyze those metrics to track progress and define prioritization.

  • Anticipate new features across products, prioritize them to maximize NPS, retention and unit growth.

  • Inspire Stakeholders, and key executives to be able to redirect the product roadmap to meet critical business demands through the use of data and logic.

  • Partner closely with multiple functions including finance, operations, sales, legal and technology to grow the digital business.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Product Owner, Product development, product strategy or equivalent work experience in Digital space

  • 5+ years of experience in Specialty, Mail order or Retail Pharmacy

  • Experience using data analytics (Adobe, PowerBI) and measurements to make business decisions and identify most valuable product and be able to prioritize them

  • Knowledge of product development process including user story writing, feature writing and refinement, and completing UAT

  • Proven to be self-motivated and able to work with little direct supervision

  • Proven to drive results with disciplined follow-through by leveraging the metrics and measurements of the product including KPI (Key performance indicators) and MBO (Management by objectives)

  • Proven effective strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align people, strategies and recommendations with business objectives

  • Market Analysis: Proven ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product differentiation and leverage these to solve for complex problems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital Pharmacy experience building digital websites/portals for pharmacy services

  • Experience with software Development lifecycle

  • Microsoft tools like PowerPoint, Excel as this role requires creating presentations and using excel for business data mapping activities

  • Proven ability of concept ideation

  • Proven ability to of timeline & risk management

  • Proven ability to oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept ideation and design to development, testing, and launch

  • Stakeholder Management & communication: Proven ability to lead and define product strategy, digital best practices, roadmap updates, milestones and challenges to stakeholders and external partners as needed, fostering transparency and alignment
