As the Associate Director of Clinical Quality, you will be challenged to leverage your clinical, operations and program management skills to lead programs that focus on improving HEDIS® rates and impacting the quality of care for our members.

This position is responsible for providing direction and guidance on clinical quality improvement and management programs including the financial, planning, operational, and staffing components. In this role you will partner with leadership and program leads to understand the drivers and manage operational capacity and capital planning, forecast and workforce monitoring. You will lead related planning efforts to support strategic business models and program expansions or contractions as we prepare for the future of HEDIS®, including ECDS. As a key resource, you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, an aptitude for persistence, consistence & perseverance, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver on time. Success in this role will require ability to prioritize, multi-task, plan, as well as being flexible, resourceful, and self-driven.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and own all capital and capacity planning, workforce tools and operational performance metrics tracking related to operations

  • Drive collaboration across the team to lead development of business/financial cases for specific quality initiatives

  • Work closely with the business to understand both critical and enhancement needs to develop, recommend, and establish strategies, plans and processes to improve operations and create efficiencies

  • Compile, analyze, and present program related financial, staffing, forecasting, risk and operational recommendations to senior leaders

  • Accountable for business continuity planning, updating, and risk mitigation activities

  • Perform program efficacy analyses, leveraging statistical analysis skills to evaluate the effectiveness of all organizational lines of business

  • Develop quality metrics, benchmarks, and KPIs to guide decisions

  • Lead development of business/financial case for specific initiatives, capital investments and new business opportunities

  • Assist in prioritization of investment for the business and provide recommendations based on quality impact

  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and identify areas of improvement

  • Develop solid working relationships across multiple organizations and cross-functional teams

  • Operate largely independently in meeting defined business objectives and goals

  • Support the company's strategic and operational planning initiatives, as applicable

  • Demonstrate flexibility and manage time-zone differences, effectively

  • Demonstrate executive presence with solid oral and written communication skills

  • Natural curiosity to learn more, dig into details, understand key drivers of our business

  • Experience prioritizing & managing demanding workloads with concurrent deadlines

  • Ability to act decisively and proactively, anticipating change, and modify plans/timetables as needed

  • Ability to use proper discretion when dealing with confidential information exhibiting a high level of integrity

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and partner to those we serve in the business

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Point, Word, Outlook and Teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • 4+ years of experience, with demonstrated functional knowledge, process improvement initiatives, and organizational behavior

  • 4+ year operations experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in leading strategic program initiatives and teams

  • 3+ years of financial planning and/or organization experience with experience evaluating financial information, preparing executive level financial presentations, and making actionable recommendations to senior leadership

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, leading projects from beginning to end

  • 2+ years of Healthcare experience

  • Experience utilizing solid analytical skills and business acumen to interpret a strategic vision into an operational model

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to generate reports from multiple datasets, perform pivots, VLookups and macros)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Certification

  • Consulting experience

  • Passion for customers and a demonstrated focus on customer experience

  • Experience utilizing project management software with multiple high level projects simultaneously

  • Six Sigma or LEAN experience

  • Superior planning and solid problem-solving skills that enable quick identification and efficient resolution of issues

  • Ability to anticipate, understand and meet the needs of internal and external customers & constituents

  • Solid orientation to organizational cultural values: Integrity, compassion, relationships, performance & innovation

  • Proven ability to influence course of action with diplomacy and tact when others are directly accountable for outcomes

  • Diplomatic with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
