About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiter/ess - Gelato & Coffee Lounge in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Take orders and serve food and beverages as requested by guests, such as coffee, tea, smoothies/juices, sandwiches, muffins, pastries, or cookies etc.
Cater to guests' requirements by taking food and beverage orders, serving food and beverages to customers and attending to customers' needs.
Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared and describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired.
Inform guests of daily specials or special items/promotions not listed on the menu.
Collect money for orders served and process financial transactions according to standard cashiering procedures and ensure all bills are checked for accuracy prior to presentation.
Undertake opening, closing & cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists and ensure their respective area is always kept hygienically clean and tidy
Maintain, rotate, and replenish the stocks on a FIFO (first in first out) system and as per par levels. Store them according to Food Hygiene Standards
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
One year of experience in the restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
Fluent in English - additional languages are a plus.
Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications.
