Dubai Holding Senior Executive -Engineering-Jumeirah Wild Wadi in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Purpose:

To assist the Director of Engineering in the leadership of the Guest Services and Engineering Departments; maintaining the physical plant and buildings; capital and operational expense planning and budgeting and up-to-date knowledge of innovations in both the technical and property management fields in order to continually update and improve efficiency in the Department.

Main Duties:

  • To oversee the daily operation of the Park Services department

  • To understand, follow and enforce all manufacturer and Dubai Municipality guidelines, Jumeirah and Wild Wadi Standard Operating Procedures in order to exceed the operational requirements and ensure the Guest receives the highest standards of quality and service at all times.

  • To conduct interviews, appraisals, and disciplinaries with colleagues in order to maintain continual Improvement.

  • To implement and control the ongoing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Demand Work Order system in order to maintain proper functionality of the park.

  • To provide direction in changes to policies and procedures in order to change with the short and long term operations of the department.

  • To maintain standards and procedures for equipment, repairs and maintenance and institutes new procedures in order to increase efficiency of labor and product with the approval of the Director of Engineering.

  • To operate within and maintain the expense budget by monitoring expenditures and innovating new efficiency driven systems in order to assist in achieving company financial goals.

  • To liaise with all other departments and attend to their needs in a timely and efficient manner in order to prevent any unsafe conditions, loss of productivity or reduction in revenue capability.

  • To demonstrate commitment to the development and implementation of the quality management system in order to ensure continual improvement.

  • To evaluate and monitor training programs (such as safety and emergency procedures) for all new and current department colleagues in order to ensure the safety of our guests and colleagues.

  • To monitor and perform comparative studies to energy reading on a monthly basis in order to identify any abnormalities.

  • To explore industry innovations and advances in product research, maintenance, and facilities management in order to capitalize on any such developments.

  • To evaluate and advise of improvements and continuing renovation of the physical plant and maintenance of plant assets in order to minimize mechanical failures.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills:

  • University Degree or Diploma in related field

  • Previous Managerial courses

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Managerial position

  • Previous Facility Management experience, minimum of 5 years

  • Previous experience investigations

  • Good Knowledge of MS Office, with excellent communication skills

  • Competent in Business English (written and spoken)
