About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Barista to join our team in Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
Supervise daily operations of the coffee bar, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional service delivery.
Train new baristas in coffee preparation techniques, service protocols, and Jumeirah policies to uphold quality standards.
Maintain high beverage quality by ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and service standards.
Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience for all guests and team members.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of coffee beans, supplies, and beverage related merchandise, placing timely orders to prevent any shortages.
Ensure espresso machines, grinders, and equipment are well-maintained and adhere to cleanliness standards.
Collaborate on the development of new coffee and soft juices recipes, seasonal beverages, and promotional items to enhance menu offerings of the allocated outlet.
Drive sales through effective suggestive selling techniques/trainings and promotion of special offers or featured products.
Lead and motivate the barista team, delegate tasks effectively, and cultivate a positive work environment.
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines, to maintain a safe workplace.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of barista experience, in a reputable hospitality brand or a standalone restaurant is required for this role.
Proficient and passionate about preparing a diverse selection of beverages, including coffee specialties (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.), teas, juices, soft drinks, and other non-alcoholic beverages using various preparation/innovative techniques and equipment.
Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, German, Mandarin, and/or Greek) with strong communication abilities.
