About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Agent to join our team in Room Dining at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Residences . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Personalize guest interactions by addressing them by name and demonstrating cultural awareness of Arabic etiquette.

  • Efficiently and accurately take guest orders from in house guests.

  • Answer incoming calls within three rings, adhering to established standards.

  • Extend personalized greetings to guests, addressing them by name, and offer comprehensive assistance throughout their visit.

  • Study the in room dining menu thoroughly to provide informed recommendations to guests, including knowledge of ingredients and preparation methods.

  • Memorize menu item prices to facilitate seamless transactions and enhance guest experience.

  • Utilize effective upselling techniques to maximize revenue and contribute to business profitability.

  • Promptly relay guest feedback or concerns to managers for immediate resolution.

  • Proactively ensure guest satisfaction by regularly checking in with them during their stay and assisting team members with mise en place duties during downtime.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency in a secondary European language, with strong communication abilities.

  • Knowledge of Opera, Epicure, and Micros.

  • Previous similar experience in a five-star hotel.
