JOB PURPOSE
In Pearson School Qualifications, we put the learner first. Our purpose is to ensure that the hundreds of thousands of learners across thousands of Pearson schools are able to learn, grow, and ultimately access Pearson Edexcel qualifications that allow them to make progress in their lives. The Regional Development Manager is a member of the Qualifications team in the Gulf region, tasked with supporting our schools and growing our presence in schools in the Gulf. We aim to be a trusted partner to all our schools; we work with them every step of the way, and we go above and beyond to solve their problems.
The role will encompass:
Holding key responsibility for and proactively supporting assigned schools in the Gulf area. Working to both grow the presence of Pearson Edexcel, and to delight our customers through helping solve their problems and offering the very highest standards of support.
Acting as an ambassador for Pearson, developing relationships with key stakeholders across the education landscape in the Gulf.
Formulating strategic and operational plans based on a solid understanding of the market trends and customer demands.
Leveraging management tools to analyze data on a variety of critical business drivers.
Developing timely and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts.
Essential competencies:
Ability to build trust and form deep relationships with customers; responsive and empathetic to customer needs.
Resilient and tenacious; comfortable with taking accountability for solving customer problems.
Consultative selling skills; an ability to match customer needs with Pearson solutions.
Strong account management, and an ability to effectively interact with all levels of stakeholder.
Comfortable in working with numbers, and using data to plan, reflect and drive effective decision making.
Strong knowledge of, and insights into, the trends in the education sector in the Gulf.
Self-discipline, persistence, ability to work independently and in a team.
Curious: always looking to learn and grow.
Excellent command of verbal and written English.
Previous experience:
Essential: teaching experience, ideally in an international context.
Desirable: Experience in business development.
Education, Qualification, and Training:
Essential: Degree level or equivalent, Fluent in English, IT literate eg: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable: Modern Foreign language or another language other than English.
