About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager within Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management . The Quality Assurance Manager is directly responsible to the Dean, for the accurate and effective reporting of academic and administrative performance. He/she is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance of all EAHM programmes and implements, manages, and assesses institutional effectiveness. He/she assures that quality standards and continuous improvement strategies are implemented across all programmes. The incumbent will also assess policies, formulate new policies, implement audits, and is responsible for the quality assurance manual.

About the role:

  • Develop, analyse, and report, to internal stakeholders, institutional metrics based on accurate data and recommend ways to use data to support continuous improvement of academic curriculum and service quality.

  • Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of academic and academic support policies. Identify needs and proposes policies updates.

  • Leads innovation and standards in pedagogic practices.

  • Oversees the quality assurance plan for EAHM related to courses, programs, and institutional services that ensures curriculum and processes are aligned with standards expected by professional and institutional accreditors.

  • Compiles an annual summary of institution research data used for performance monitoring, reporting and institutional planning.

  • Develop, maintain, implement, and execute a schedule of surveys, including student satisfaction surveys, and monitoring of quality improvement plans, for analysis and development.

  • Maintain an institutional benchmark on best practices in Higher Education as a yearly updated reference for the institution.

  • Train administrators, faculty and staff on quality advancement, institutional research and benchmarking techniques, survey design, and evaluation/assessment methodologies and accountability.

  • Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their knowledge skills and competence as future hospitality and tourism industry leaders.

  • Supervising students and accompanying them in their projects and research projects.

  • Contributing to a culture of continuous professional development and excellence in teaching and learning.

  • Conducting research applied to the needs of the programme and relevant to the Hospitality and Tourism Industry and aligned with current issues in the discipline.

  • Engaging in scholarly activities including conferences and seminars to disseminate the results of research conducted at the EAHM.

  • Presenting Professional Development Courses to facilitate the development of our industry colleagues.

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop their knowledge skills and competence as future hospitality and tourism industry leaders.

  • Supervise students and accompany them in their projects and research projects.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous professional development and excellence in teaching and learning

  • Conduct research applied to the needs of the programme and relevant to the Hospitality and Tourism Industry and aligned with current issues in the discipline.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness in Higher Education

  • Master’s Degree in relevant discipline from an accredited and renowned University.

  • Experience of higher education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

  • Past leadership academic quality assurance.

  • Previous experience in assessment and/or institutional research

  • Excellent knowledge in UAE Ministry of Education & Commision of Academic Accreditation regulations and compliances.

  • Outstanding inter-personal skills and an ability to connect with people at all levels to drive successful relationships.
