POSITION SUMMARY

The FX Risk and Corporate Finance Manager at Nestle will oversee the integration, standardization, and efficient management of foreign exchange exposures for markets within the region. They will identify and raise awareness of financial risks, anticipate risks, and manage them within Nestle's ALM policy. Additionally, they will optimize funding structures by reviewing capital structure and implementing funding decisions in alignment with Centre Corporate Finance. Will ensure implementation of best practices in line with Center-driven policies and guidelines, while also providing professional risk management services to the markets, including economic and financial advice. They will advise on and manage Foreign Exchange and debt-equity positions of the market.

A day in the life of...

Risk Management: Work closely with Center Risk Management to ensure visibility of CTPs, regular review and monitoring of CTP risk, ratings and execute risk management tools (e.g. Target exposure) for appropriate CTP management.

  • Identify and escalate country risks and proposed strategy and action plan. Include in ALMC for tracking.

  • Monitor, analysis and communicate keep markets informed on country risk and the political and macro-economic environment in the region

  • Ensure compliance with the Sanctions Guidelines and review/update the Sanctions Risk Assessment bi-annually. Work closely with Compliance teams to monitor and mitigate sanction risk.

  • Monitor, analysis and define guidelines and strategies to mitigate operational risk - credit, settlement, and liquidity risks - together with Cash Manager

  • Ensure Business Continuity Plans are in place for various scenarios and ensure main activities, systems are regularly tested to work. Organize and monitor BCP exercises.

  • Ensure Center guidelines for cyber and fraud risk are communicated and team attends Center training. Team is kept updated and report phishing simulation tests and real phishing attempts

FX Management : Ensure that hedging is aligned with Commercial Hedging Guidelines, escalate exception timely to Regional Treasurer request approvals from Group Treasurer (if required)

  • Obtain full visibility of all exposures of all markets in Quantum (Total vs Managed).

  • Monitor currency risks as part of medium-term risk management (not day to day hedging)

Corporate Finance : Support Capital Structure analysis and advise over the different funding strategies calculating risks and costs of each option.

  • Ensure optimum funding structure for markets by delivering on capital structure reviews

  • Manage Intra-Group funding operations in accordance with policies and approved parameters - Ensure appropriate and efficient lending analysis by periodic review of loan parameters.

  • Ensure tax compliance and optimization. - Supervise the analysis of the quarterly NFC and consolidation of the projections of the same for the year.

Statutory Reporting : Main point of contact for statutory reporting requirements for legal entity - Work with accounting teams - Treasury and financial accounting - to deliver statutory reports for the legal entity within set deadlines.

  • Deliver on GAR recommendations and guidelines for accurate reporting

  • Work with external auditor to deliver responses for audited financial statements requirements.

Business Partnership - Work closely with the market and provide them with value-adding treasury advice and support.

Compliance - Ensure standard operating procedures (SOP's) relating to Treasury operations reflect the internal control put in place in the processes. Ensure all treasury activities comply with treasury policy.

What will make you successful

  • Experience in Finance, ideally in corporate treasury or in a bank

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in Corporate Treasury

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with different stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets and financial risk management principles

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics.

  • Completed professional qualification like the ACT, CFA or ACCA
