About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager to join the Front Office at Jumeirah Beach Hotel .
The main responsibilities are:
To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the hotel operation especially the front office department
To handle and resolve guest complaints
To assist the Assistant Front Office Manager and the Front Office Manager in supervising the Front Office Departments operation and communication
To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed standards consistently within the Front Office department
To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure that front office colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals
To set high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the Management and interdepartmental co-operation
To Maintain close relations with all VIP guests in- and out of house and responds accordingly to all their needs and demands
To respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner, taking the appropriate action to resolve matters and to follow up to ensure complete guest satisfaction
To ensure total compliance with standards of operation and financial compliance
To ensure accurate and efficient billing procedures, including the proper handling of cash and credit card transactions
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Proficient in spoken and written business English.
Effective communication skills with all levels of colleagues and management at all levels.
Minimum 3 years reception experiences at 5* luxury hotel, with minimum 1 year supervisory level or above in 5* luxury hotel in Middle East.
Excellent knowledge of Opera PMS, preferably Opera Cloud.
