Job Purpose

The job holder will be responsible to support the section head in managing Company’s ESG strategy and plan in alignment with DH sustainability strategy, improving environmental and sustainability performance of the company, creating long term value for all stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support the section head in managing Company’s ESG implementation plan to achieve its environmental and sustainability objectives, including opportunities to reduce carbon footprint and achieve circularity.

  • Lead ESG data collection and relevant coordination within Company offices and project sites in direct liaison with data owners, in line with the set sustainability data governance and processes to ensure accurate, consistent, reliable and complete data collection on ESG metrics.

  • Drive the implementation of planned ESG initiatives as well as integrating ESG into initiatives of other functions with relevant department representatives.

  • Support Section Head in ensuring ESG risks and opportunities are integrated into business strategy, plan and operations, driving sustainable growth and mitigating potential risks.

  • Act as the lead ESG champion fostering a culture of sustainability within the Company by engaging stakeholders, and promoting responsible practices and enhancing brand reputation.

  • Ideate and support planning ESG initiatives within the Company by actively contributing to planning and execution, and measuring progress towards achieving sustainability goals, optimizing resource allocation and maximizing positive impact.

  • Support execution of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Gender Equality and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives within the Company, in coordination with all relevant departments, such as Human Capital, Administration, Operations, Corporate Communications and Culture.

  • Support Section Head in establishing processes and procedures to ensure Company’s preparedness to collect and report supply chain emissions focusing on project development and delivery.

  • Keep comprehensive and accurate data logs of reporting, communications and research to allow for efficient business planning and execution.

  • Prepare presentation material to show progress and outcomes of research as well as marketing material to support Commercial team.

  • Lead all research and latest updates on global, regional and local trends and news that relate to sustainability, ESG and real estate. This involves research on latest technologies, innovation, market updates, resources and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experiences, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Environmental engineering, science, management, sustainable development, relevant engineering or architecture disciplines); Master’s degree preferred.

  • Any relevant ESG certification such as Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), or Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) certification - preferred

  • Knowledge on latest global sustainability trends and innovation with a specific focus on real estate.

  • Understanding of Environmental legal framework, Climate change adaptation and mitigation at organizational and real estate development level and experience in delivering sustainability strategies and implementation plans at masterplan, design, construction and corporate level

Minimum Experience (number of years):

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience preferably in planning, architecture and engineering or management consultancy.

  • Relative experience in Environmental impact assessments, strategic environmental planning, Social Value, CSR (corporate social responsibility), Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Gender Equality frameworks, strategies and initiatives and ability to lead initiatives.

  • Experienced in social value creation in development projects and organizational diversity, gender equity and inclusion.

Job Specific Skills

  • Well versed in corporate ESG frameworks, strategies and global ESG reporting ecosystem and disclosure standards including SASB, GRI, GRESB, TCFD, CDP, GHG Protocol and SBTi.

  • Proficient in strategic environmental planning, environmental impact assessments and environmental management systems and performance monitoring.

  • Familiarity with market context of ESG and emerging solutions that support building the business case of sustainability.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills that contribute to consultative approach within a corporate / multifunctional environment.

  • Ability to influence positive change and sustainability without formal authority.

  • Proficiency in Sustainability strategies and its implementation during planning, design and construction

  • Ability to deliver effective and visually strong presentations and reports.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to identify ESG trends and make data-driven recommendations.

  • Ethical and Sustainable Mindset

  • Strong project management skills

  • Problem solving skills - be able to identify ESG-related challenges and develop solutions to address them.

  • Ability to align ESG goals with the overall business strategy and make recommendations
