J ob Purpose:

The job holder will manage the interior design function and oversee the creation of aesthetically pleasing, functional and efficient spaces within Company’s residential communities..

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with the development team to provide sufficient details for production of working drawings and specifications, ensuring clear communication and facilitating the creation of accurate construction documents for interior construction, materials, finishes, space planning, lighting, furnishing, and equipment.

  • Revise architectural plans in conjunction with the design team to formulate a design that is practical, aesthetically pleasing, and conclusively meets the intended purposes of the project, balancing functionality with visual appeal and user needs.

  • Provide a interior design solutions, relative to the project's nature, within established budgets, schedules, and project requirements, ensuring cost-effectiveness, adherence to timelines, and successful project completion. This includes selecting interior finishes, colors, and equipment that align with design department standards and fulfill project-specific needs.

  • Present all design development phase findings to the senior development manager/BU head for review, fostering collaboration and ensuring project alignment with leadership expectations.

  • Communicate consistently with the development team throughout the design development phase to ensure client/project satisfaction, maintaining open communication and addressing any concerns promptly.

  • Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of all interior design documentation, guaranteeing clear, error-free documents for successful project execution.

  • Keep up to date with new design concepts and trends, suggesting improvements for interior design department standards and procedures, promoting continuous improvement and innovation within the department.

  • Assist in conducting periodic on-site inspections prior to substantial completion as and when required, ensuring quality control and verifying that the completed project aligns with the design intent.

  • Prepare reports for senior management on all Interior Design parameters.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, processes and controls of project design activities at all levels.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Interior Design/Architecture; Master’s degree- preferred

  • International certification in interior design or architecture / LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Associate Professional) Certification – preferred

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification – preferred

Experience:

  • Min. 3-5 years’ experience in Interior design with a real estate developer in Architecture design and construction of iconic / signature projects.

Job Specific skills:

  • Professional skills in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign.

  • Well versed in construction, fit out, Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E) specifications

  • Skilled in applying color theory and selecting appropriate materials for specific functions and aesthetics

  • Skilled at creating clear and compelling design presentations

  • Professional verbal and written business communication skills with superior understanding of branding and product selection.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
