About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Technical Services to join Technical team in Dubai Holding Entertainment Corporate.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive technical vision and strategy for the entire portfolio of entertainment and leisure assets.

• Lead and mentor a team of technical directors or managers overseeing individual assets.

• Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across technical teams.

• Establish and maintain high standards for safety, reliability, and operational efficiency across all assets.

• Develop and implement a risk management framework to identify and mitigate potential technical risks.

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

• Oversee the development and implementation of annual operating budgets for all technical departments within the portfolio.

• Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources across all technical teams.

• Lead the negotiation and management of vendor contracts for technical services and equipment.

• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the effectiveness of technical operations.

• Oversee and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects for technical infrastructure upgrades and expansions.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations, safety standards, and building codes.

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to optimize asset lifecycles and minimize downtime.

• Manage emergency response procedures and protocols for technical incidents.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Essential

• Experience in the theme park or related industry.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience) in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or closely related field is required.

• Proven experience in inspecting infrastructure and construction methods and materials.

• Experience in the theme park or related industry.

• Ability to manage large and complex construction projects with a demonstrated track record of success in on-site supervision.

• Requires ability to evaluate work against plans, specifications, safety and quality standards, and to facilitate resolution of complex problems in the field.

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related trades required.

• A minimum of 15 years relevant, demonstrated experience and proven track record in a senior role in management.
