Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence is a 41-floor luxury serviced apartment tower in the Centre of Dubai’s business district. About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for Director of Engineer to join the team at Jumeirah Living.
Main Duties: and responsibilities of this role:
Develop and communicate strategic vision, goals, and objectives in alignment with the overall business strategy.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, effectively to support project priorities and meet organizational goals.
Provide technical direction and guidance, ensuring the use of best practices, methodologies, and technologies to drive innovation and achieve technical excellence.
Collaborate with other departments, such as product management, marketing, and sales, to align engineering efforts with business needs, customer requirements, and market opportunities.
Identify potential risks and challenges associated with engineering projects, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate the performance of engineering teams and individual team members, provide feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to support professional growth and ensure high performance.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, customers, partners, and regulatory agencies, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and communicate engineering initiatives and achievements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department, including process optimization, efficiency improvements, and adoption of new tools and technologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
About you:
In order to be considered for this role you will have at least two years of working experience in a similar role in a luxury five-star hotel environment.
You will have excellent written and spoken English skills, additional language is advantage. Knowledge of hotel operating systems is a must. Your experience in handling guest requests and exceeding their expectations would be regarded as essential.
