About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Director - Corporate Communications to direct the Group’s internal communications strategy, through internal communication campaigns and events, aligning with the Group’s strategy and objectives, build employee loyalty and promote a sense of community among colleagues to encourage a unified culture of collaboration and innovation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct the design of the internal communication strategy, in line with the overarching group communications strategy, steering internal communication efforts towards priority areas for the Group.

  • Lead the development of creative communications tools to deliver internal messages, using existing and new channels as they emerge, to ensure innovative and engaging communications throughout the Group.

  • Oversee the development of communications content and materials, including newsletters, email updates, executive speeches, press releases, LinkedIn, intranet, and other organizational milestones etc., to ensure that the information shared across the Group is consistent, up-to-date, and compliant with brand guidelines.

  • Direct the implementation of group-wide internal communication campaigns, in line with the agreed upon timelines, resources and budgets, to promote global clarity, transparency and alignment among Colleagues.

  • Support in change management and crisis communication and in offsetting any internal reputational risks on behalf of the Group, ensuring that all potential threats to its image and employee engagement are mitigated in an effective and timely manner.

  • Support Group HR through communications about employee programs and benefits, such as diversity, compensation and benefits, talent development, etc., to promote the Group as a preferred employer among internal audiences and their networks, enabling talent attraction and retention.

  • Liaise with Dubai Holding on corporate initiatives and shared activities to ensure that the Group remains engaged and aligned with Dubai Holding’s objectives and communication standards.

  • Direct the monitoring, assessment, and reporting of the performance of all internal communications campaigns, by analyzing key performance indicators (e.g. COS scores etc.) to ensure visibility of their return on investment and adjust efforts accordingly.

  • Manage the effective achievement of objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing staff, and providing formal and informal feedback to maximize overall performance and team motivation while continuing to deploy resources effectively for growth and further strengthening the employee value proposition.

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity so that Jumeirah Group provides world class and luxurious hospitality services to its guests and protect the Shareholders’ interests.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience of corporate communications experience, preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.

  • Strong knowledge of internal communications best practices within the luxury hospitality industry.

  • Excellent communication and public relations skills.

  • Strong understanding of core hotelier operations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to shape narratives and public messages.

  • Ability to coach, mentor and motivate others, with experience of performance managing a team.
