About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Bar Manager to join our team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Manage and lead bar staff, fostering a cohesive team environment through effective training and development initiatives.
Maintain current liquor licenses and proactively identify and contact potential suppliers for procurement needs.
Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality beverages and promptly addressing guest inquiries, comments, and suggestions with professionalism and creativity.
Monitor and respond to guest feedback, implementing necessary improvements to enhance overall guest experience.
Maintain precise inventory records, consistently ensuring optimal stock levels through timely ordering of supplies and beverages.
Implement rigorous inventory control measures to minimize waste and shrinkage, optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and execute strategic cost-control measures to maximize profitability without compromising service standards.
Monitor expenses and revenue closely, preparing comprehensive reports for management on a regular basis.
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to boost sales and revenue through innovative promotions and targeted marketing initiatives.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Prior experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or a standalone restaurant, demonstrating a strong understanding of luxury hospitality standards.
Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Mandarin, German or Greek).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Extensive wine and beverage/mixology knowledge and the strategic ability to sell by using upselling techniques.
WSET level 2 or relevant degrees.
