Jumeirah Group’s newest resort Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will lead a new generation of Group’s ultra-luxury portfolio. Nestled at the tip of a peninsula at the heart of Dubai’s largest private beach, with design influences of a futuristic superyacht, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will feature 303 rooms, 84 suites, and 82 serviced residences set amid private landscaped gardens. About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director to join our Human Resources team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • To lead and manage the human resources functions within the property, ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with the overall business goals. Oversee talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment. Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement policies and programs that attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring the property’s workforce is equipped to meet current and future challenges.

  • Implement HR strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives to enhance overall organizational performance and employee satisfaction.

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-quality candidates to meet the hotel's staffing needs.

  • Design and manage training and development programs to foster employee growth, enhance skills, and support career advancement within the hotel.

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems, providing guidance and support to managers in conducting evaluations and setting performance goals.

  • Maintain positive employee relations by addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a harmonious work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and hotel policies, regularly reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures to reflect current legal requirements and best practices.

  • Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and fair practices that attract and retain talent.

  • Develop and monitor HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.

  • Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives, fostering a culture of respect and equal opportunity within the hotel.

  • Lead and mentor the HR team, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure high performance and achievement of HR goals.

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in leadership roles within HR, with a proven track record of strategic HR planning and implementation.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Hotel Management or any other relevant field

  • Professional qualifications/certification in field of Human Resources Management.

  • MBA or other post graduate education in the related area.

  • Level A and B qualified in British Psychological Society
