About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director - Health and Safety in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Assist the development of the Group standards and regulations regarding food, safety and hygiene and monitor the implementation in all F&B premises in order to maintain high standards of health, safety and hygiene and support compliance with Corporate HSE standards, DH HSE standards and local legislation.

  • Define and stay updated on food hygiene standards, ensuring HSE policies reflect current regulations and best practices.

  • Enhance hygiene standards in SBUs to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and pandemics.

  • Coordinate HACCP certification audits for Dubai SBUs, ensuring compliance, reporting major findings to management, and addressing issues.

  • Manage relationships with third parties such as food hygiene authorities, auditors, laboratories, and pest control to support food safety and hygiene.

  • Analyze monthly/quarterly food safety and hygiene reports from SBUs to identify improvements and recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop and deliver training and workshops on Food Safety & Hygiene standards and new SOPs for stakeholder updates.

  • Investigate food-related complaints, ensuring timely reporting and appropriate action for alleged food poisoning cases.

  • Manage food sampling contracts, plan schedules, review monthly reports, and advise SBUs on actions for failed samples.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5-8 years as a Health & Safety Manager in the hospitality or food industry.

  • MSc in Microbiology, Food Technology, or Food Science; Advanced certificate in Food Hygiene Management; Level 3 award in HACCP implementation.

  • ISO 22000 implementation certification and Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001/ISO 22000 are desirable, but not essential.

  • In-depth knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene regulations, understanding of luxury hospitality operations, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong proactivity and relationship management, advanced decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
