About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Sales Manager (Leisure & MICE) to join Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main purpose of this job is to execute the sales & marketing strategy and plan of action related to MICE Market and ensure all business development activities are fully aligned with Jumeirah’s Brand Standards.

The main duties are:

  • Deliver assigned KPI targets (weekly, monthly, yearly).

  • Act as the single point of contact within the SBU for each assigned account

  • Make recommendations to the DOSM on necessary sales plans or strategy revision to increase production from own accounts / industry segment

  • Monitor and feedback to DOSM on competitors’ activities in the market and respond to them appropriately

  • Communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with Global/Regional Sales Offices, SBU-based sales team to effectively implement the corporate sales strategy

  • Communicate effectively to Global/Regional Sales Offices on all issues relevant to own accounts in order to maximize market penetration / exposure

  • Be fully up to date with actual / forecast / budgeted volumes, revenues and occupancies of the hotel

  • Maintain comprehensive awareness of the hotel’s needs (including promotions, offers, USPs, IVTs), mice/leisure market trends, account market share and customer needs

  • Continuously research and prospect for attractive new business within the assigned industry segment/s in order to meet growth targets

  • Take full ownership of own performance. Initiate, implement and update ADPs for assigned customers (and the customers of your direct reports, if any) in line with the departmental guidelines

  • Responsible for 100% account penetration by establishing close relationships at all levels within the assigned accounts

  • Identify sales opportunities and close high value sales.

  • Act (and assist others when required) as a specialist in the assigned industry segment/s keeping yourself updated and informed about all their highs / lows, major movements and trends within the industry segments

  • Collect customer/partner data from own customers and support team in collecting theirs.

  • Balance customer service needs with Jumeirah’s business needs to achieve Jumeirah sales and cost of sales targets.

  • Maintain and grow positive customer and partner relationships

  • Set and meet customer expectations and facilitate objection handling

  • Create value for own and team’s (where applicable) customers

  • Keep yourself fully updated of all related sales data and plan sales activities keeping in mind cost/benefit, cost of sale and ROI analyses.

  • Attend industry & association networking events in order to broaden relevant commercial contacts

  • Plan and conduct customer entertainments / outlet experiences within the hotel

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct site inspections within the hotel

  • Plan, coordinate and attend designated FAM Trips

  • Responsible for managing & responding to all corporate RFPs related to own accounts

  • Ensure all of customer/partner data is collated and summarized in Jumeirah Sales systems.

  • Deliver brand message to customers.

About you:

  • At least 3 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably with an international hospitality company.

  • High level of written and verbal business English

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications

  • Commercially (targets and results) focused

  • Organized and disciplined, dedicated and loyal

  • Interpersonal skills

  • All segment intermediate knowledge and sales skills

  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines
