Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishings, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager in Rooms Reservations at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
To manage and effectively lead the Reservation Team to ensure all functions and responsibilities are executed to the highest standards. The Assistant Reservations Manager should effectively coordinate with all concerned departments, promoting positive and productive cross working with other teams. Responsible for daily operational requirements related Reservations to support Revenue, Sales, Finance and Operational hotel teams objectives.
Supporting Director of Revenue with IDEAS RMS and daily revenue management daily operations
Ensuring that the profiles within the Oracle Fusion system are linked, to ensure effective sales tracking
Ensuring all rates are loaded correctly within the system to ensure accurate tracking
Being fully conversant with all functions of Jumeirah’ CRS system and ensuring that the information is effectively updated
Ensuring that all team members are at all times aware of the packages and offerings to market
Implementing a consistent method for reservations team to handle reservations inquiries.
Ensuring reservations are taken accurately and traces are in place for front office to follow up as required
Ensuring that reservations include accurate billing details and that the accounts department have the required information
Ensuring all calls are answered promptly and converted and all emails are responded to within a timely basis
Ensure 100% tracking & account linkage within the Oracle profiles
Communicating the selling strategy to team
Achieving as a minimum the objective/goal for accuracy of reservations within the customer surveys
Handling Group Reservations by communicating with the Events/Sales Department
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
High level of written and verbal business English
Commercially focused (targets and results)
Organized and disciplined
Knowledge of Opera/Oracle Fusion
Another language
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience
At least 2 years in a senior reservation's role
Previous experience as Reservations Supervisor
Experience in a five-star hotel
Skills
Excellent level of English
Competent computer skills, word, excel, power point
Excellent communicator at all levels
Effective organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks and self-manage a demanding workload
Excellent presentation skills
Friendly, approachable and professional
