Building on ARN’s commitment to embracing the future and being able to provide access to the best marketing platforms in the region, MPN by Dubai Holding Entertainment is a multimedia sales house, operating premium out-of-home assets, video production, event sponsorship and activations. Support all DHE Group commercial teams to provide complex advice in relation to the post holder’s area of legal expertise, including but not limited to commercial, corporate, litigation, leisure & entertainment, development and IP. The post holder may be asked to provide advice in relation to labor law issues and real estate (both sales and leasing) and or transactional matters from time to time.

Job Overview:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Assistant Manager - Entertainment Operations at Dubai Holding Entertainment . In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

  • The Assistant manager is responsible for assisting the Senior manager in managing/operating all aspect of the pre-production, coordination, production of rehearsals, shows and events as assigned. Manages the coordination of the creative and technical design/operation process to ensure that design intent, budget and schedule goals are met. For each, develops and executes strategies to complete projects on time and on budget while achieving the highest quality of Entertainment. Provide direction to the department to ensure guest entertainment value/satisfaction and employee satisfaction/performance are in compliance with goals established by the Director and the company

  • Works with Entertainment teams and interdepartmental partners as an active participant, guaranteeing a high level of performance and production values for entertainment offerings.

  • Responsible for operating the daily Entertainment Program for a state of the art and financially efficient theme park entertainment department, resulting in a seamless and exemplary guest experience.

  • Resource sourcing, bidding, negotiating, scope changes and contract maintenance.

  • Provides management and operational coverage at entertainment events and external activations as required.

  • Lead and executes entertainment special events to include marquee and seasonal celebrations and other events promoted by the company.

  • Progress reports, interfacing with other departments and maintaining vendor relationships.

  • Manages and maintains entertainment owned event assets in each required facility ensuring tidiness of areas such as warehouse, green rooms and other back of house Entertainment spaces.

  • Assembles project/event production books and documentation for both working use and historical archives.

  • Creates installation and de-rig and event run schedules as requested and maintains schedules, updating them and stakeholders when changes take place.

  • Works with partner departments (Operation, retail, F&B, Marketing, HSE etc) to identify and satisfy needs or impacts of projects.

  • Creates and updates entertainment assets inventory.

  • Maintained a calendar of events and implement a system that enables long term planning and effective event management for meetings, conference, events etc.

  • Understand and actively participate in environmental, health & safety compliance.

  • Prepare and present inputs related to organizational/ departmental/ project budgets to the next reporting line.

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes inclusive of SOP’s, for the respective function/department and ensure reviewing and keeping the existing ones updated as part of the ‘continuous process improvement’.

  • Interface with sister parks to develop innovate scheduling/use of talent/tech pool to benefit all entertainment departments.

  • Assist with Marketing campaign including communication and promotions partnering with marketing as appropriate.

  • Set objectives/ KPIs/ milestones for the respective department/ function and conduct appraisals for direct reportees on Electronic Performance Management System.

  • Ensure that team members are provided learning and career development opportunities by identifying successors within the team, preparing them for the next accountable roles and recommending them for external trainings whenever required in consultation with HR Department.

  • Report directly to the Senior Events and Entertainment Manager, providing regular updates on project statuses.

  • Liaise with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and actively participate in the installation and dismantling process of marquee events.

  • Prepare and manage rosters for the stage production team.

  • Conduct weekly meetings to discuss the production aspects of existing shows.

  • Secure all necessary government permits for events, including but not limited to DTCM, DCD, DCAA, etc.

  • Conduct performance reviews with team members, including the cast and crew.

  • Ensure risk assessment is done for all entertainment venues and live shows.

  • Acts as entertainment manager on duty and performs other duties as assigned by senior management

About you:

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

  • 5+Years of relevant experience in Production Management

  • University Diploma – five years equivalent theme park, theatrical, cruise ship, entertainment experience in Production Management

Qualifications: Essential

• University Diploma – five years equivalent theme park, theatrical, cruise ship, entertainment experience in Production Management

• Theatrical production management, stage managing, directing, designing, and/or acting experience

• Stage craft and/or technical experience
