About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join the Concierge team at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab . The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Ensure exceptional guest service by maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude towards colleagues and guests, promptly addressing queries and requests, and handling complaints professionally.

  • Oversee porch and luggage services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, maximizing guest satisfaction, and adhering to standards to avoid delays, loss, or damage.

  • Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally according to Jumeirah standards, ensuring resolution and guest satisfaction.

  • Ensure all colleagues are well-groomed, wear the correct uniform and nametag, and report for duty punctually.

  • Stay informed about events, attractions, and other relevant information to assist guests and share knowledge with Front Office Teams and equip Concierge colleagues with resources and ensure they receive adequate training (6 hours per month), maintaining accurate training records.

  • Prepare duty rosters, attendance sheets, and vacation plans for Concierge staff, ensuring optimum coverage and control of leave allocations and supervise department employees, ensuring adherence to standards and methods outlined in the Departmental Operations Manual.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in the same position within a 5-star luxury hotel.

  • Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.

  • Software competencies – Microsoft Office programs (Advanced).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, or any other relevant field.
