General Purpose of Job

This position will perform and deliver on routine assignments for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. S/he will provide financial administrative and operational support to his/her assigned area(s). S/he will handle a variety of routine financial and administrative tasks, including phone calls, W-2 corrections, and other tasks as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with his/her assigned area(s) and other departments to ensure processing requirements are met. Provides daily reports to his/her assigned area(s).

Completes processing in applicable system(s) according to established procedures.

Completes routine data entry in applicable system(s), with close attention to detail

Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.

Makes routine & non-routine decisions under close supervision, applying limited discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures/guidelines

Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.

Monitors all checks for tax withholdings or other deductions.

Performs task by applying core knowledge obtained from the role and acquires increasingly more knowledge to apply in the role.

Provides timely, accurate administrative support as needed to his/her assigned area(s).

Researches, identifies, and updates in the refund application, completes deposit slips.

Reviews refunds across systems and reconciles differences/errors

Reviews vendor requests for accuracy; updates vendor tracker daily.

Scans daily check deposits directly to the bank and retains claimant/vendor checks prior to appropriate destruction date.

Sets up vendors and communicates completed vendor creations; rejects referrals when incomplete or incorrect.

Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.

Updates applicable spreadsheets and/or logs with all pertinent information.

Validates refund report daily and distributes monthly to appropriate internal stakeholders. Provides monthly and year-end summary reports to senior management.

Validates Tax Identification Numbers for all referrals on IRS website.

Works overtime as needed.
