Compensation: $18.23/hr

Sanitation is a vital role in the daily operations of our facility. This position must ensure that required sanitation protocol is followed at all times and in preparation for USDA pre-op inspection. Duties include performing scheduled plant-wide tasks, sanitizing of utilities tunnels, and cleaning electrical rooms and hydraulic room, all while making safety the number one priority. While performing the duties of Sanitation, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areas of the facility.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Must be willing to perform daily scheduled tasks.

  • Must also perform scheduled plant-wide tasks, sanitizing of utilities tunnels, and cleaning electrical

  • rooms and hydraulic room. Any other task assigned by plant manager.

  • Adhere to LOTO requirements at all times, and required Cargill safety regulations.

  • Be able to work with minimal input from supervisor and minimize potential downtime.

  • Maintain professional working relationships with other peers and work groups (QSI personnel, Maintenance, Utilities).

  • Candidate/s must be willing to work in wet environment and humid/vapor or cold conditions; assigned tasks will vary in accordance to plant priorities

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Effective communication skills, must be able to anticipate problems and seek supervisory assistance promptly

  • Mechanical aptitude in working with tools and machinery is highly desirable

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required; candidate must be flexible to scheduling as it will vary according to the plant’s operating schedule

  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools

  • Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity

  • Must be a team player, but also must be able to work well alone

Preferred Qualifications

  • revious Cargill experience

  • Previous sanitation or maintenance experience

  • Work history in the past 12 months
