We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate FP&A team, in support of the global Information Technology (IT) and Digital Risk (DR) functions. This position will act as a key advisor in all financial and analytical aspects, offering valuable insights into financial results, identifying potential risks and proposing strategies for mitigation. This challenging role will execute the monthly close process and partner with leadership teams and cost center owners to compile and review annual budgets, generate forecasts, and analyze trends in performance and operating expenses. The ideal candidate is proactive, capable of handling multiple tasks at once, and has a keen sense of urgency and customer focus. This role will demand a solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts, along with a desire for continuous learning and improvement. This role reports directly to the Finance Manager – Enterprise IT and is based in Davidson, NC.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 

*What you will do:  *

· Develop, analyze, and/or modify financial plans, which include the monthly forecast, risks & opportunities, annual operating plan (AOP) and long-term strategic plans (LRP)

· Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting and analysis, incorporating meaningful insights and variance commentary

· Manage and perform assigned month-end close activities such as accruals, reclasses, capital entries (where applicable); ensuring accuracy and timeliness, in accordance with Trane Technologies financial controls and accounting policies (FICAP)

· Develop and deliver analytics insights to support IT and DR in the management of hardware, software, network, and cybersecurity spend and the identification of cost-containment opportunities

· Understand the IT and DR operational and purchasing processes and inputs that impact the budget and forecasts

· Participate in and support the Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR), Contract Management reviews, and various other business operational reviews and updates

  • Assist in business case evaluation, ROI modeling, and capital spend reviews

  • Actively engage in ongoing process, standardization, and modernization initiatives to drive productivity and continuous improvement

What you will bring:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting related field required

· 5+ years of financial analysis experience in a matrix organization

· Advanced analytics and predictive modeling experience highly valued

· Experience with financial reporting cycles, forecasts, annual planning (AOP), and long-range plans (LRP)

Key Competencies:

· Solid financial acumen, analytical, and business partnership skills

· Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, summarize and communicate the key messages simply and succinctly to team members at all levels of the organization

· Collaborative team player with process improvement mind set

· Strong organization and time management skills; ability to handle several assignments at once while working in a matrix organization

· Self-starter that is eager to learn and grow

· Quick learner, with the personal drive and motivation to achieve goals with limited oversight and direction

· Strong proficiency in MS Office. Preferred experience with Oracle, One Stream, Tableau, and Alteryx.

Compensation: *  *

Base Pay Range: $70,000-144,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
