Position Summary:

The Product Manager for air operated diaphragm and piston pump product lines will be responsible for defining and executing a technology and strategic market plan which meets or exceeds planned objectives for a specific product portfolio within the North American (US & Canada) region. You will be responsible for the product strategy/roadmap, managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering and operations to deliver growth. This role will lead across functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales) to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

This position may be remotely based anywhere in the continental United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Content Development: Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement marketing strategies and plan (including targeted programs and promotions).

  • Channel Development: Develop and execute training sessions for regional market leads, customer service, sales employees, and global distributor channel partners (including distributors, OEMS, EPCs, and pump end users)

  • Sales Activation: Coordinate with the sales team to determine and develop what resources/sales aides are required to win. Develop and activate go to market (where to play) plans.

  • Pricing: Lead the execution of the required analyses to determine the recommended prices and pricing policies for new or updated products/services or extensions. Sustain value based price models. Ensure that the pricing strategy balances the need to increase market share and maximize profit margins.

  • Product Expansions: Initiate projects for new products/services or portfolio expansions. Manage a pipeline of prioritized projects under development on a regular basis. Collaborate with global PM team on SKU rationalization, obsolescence and product technology design improvements with engineering to ensure product design, quality, reliability and profitability goals are met

  • AOP – meet or exceed performance and financial objectives set for the product portfolio for your region.

Strategic Portfolio Management

  • Financial Reporting Analysis: Participate in status updates, financial reports and forecasting activities for your assigned product/service lines as required.

  • Technology Road Mapping: Collaborate with the global PM team in the development of a technology roadmap for assigned product line (s).

  • Market Analysis: Conduct analysis to examine competing opportunities and initiatives and make recommendations for your region on which opportunities & initiatives to pursue as part of the overall product development strategy.

  • Customer Facing: Recommend product/service changes to the engineering or fulfillment teams based on customer feedback, reviews or opportunities for productivity enhancements

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience; experience with industrial products (pumps)preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Ability to travel up to 20% (regionally throughout the US & Canada)

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office including word, excel, and PowerPoint

  • Business analytics competency

  • Advanced communication skills – the ability to translate complex technical products into clear, concise language which resonates positively with non-technical audiences. Able to professionally present data and business insights to any level of the organization (or customer) effectively, including executive leadership.
