Job Summary：

Work as a member of an innovative, high performing Engineering Team to develop and or VAVE industry leading residential HVAC products. Specific responsibilities could include the design and development of Indoor Air Quality Accessories, AC, HP, Air handler and Coil cabinets, airflow systems, refrigeration/heat transfer systems, electrical systems, electric heater development, packaging design and sourced product engineering validation.

This is a HYBRID position located in Davidson, NC or Tyler, Texas

Responsibilities:

• Development and or validation testing for New Product Development (NPD) and or VAVE projects in order to meet performance and reliability objectives.

• Participation as an active member of product development / VAVE / Sustaining/ Sourced teams

• Development of indoor air systems-Air handler, AC, HP & Coil development, including cabinet design, coil circuiting, Air flow, Electric heat & packaging, indoor air quality accessories,

• Lead define and execute VAVE projects sufficient to meet annual materials productivity targets.

• Support the development and maintain a list of viable potential VAVE projects with a cumulative value of at least 150% of the annual assigned materials productivity goal.

• Lead projects on cost savings, productivity improvements and sourced product validation.

• Material / component specification, qualification, and selection.

• Engineering analysis (such as simulation, finite element analysis, CFD)

• Prototype and sample development, testing and safety reviews.

• Engineering data/unit attribute creation.

• Agency listings (UL, ETL, etc.)

• Communicate project status and or problems to management, laboratory technicians, manufacturing, and customers through formal reviews.

• Create and maintain engineering Bills of Materials, 3D models using Pro E, drawings, specifications, and technical literature review.

Qualifications:

• Preferred HVAC development or related experience

• Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required (advanced degree preferred)

• Aptitude for mechanical/electrical design, development, and testing.

• Results-oriented individual with an emphasis placed on achieving overall team performance.

• Problem assessment and problem-solving skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Works effectively in a diverse open consensus-oriented team environment.

• Conflict management skills.-Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean Expert a plus.

• Thermodynamics (includes understanding of refrigeration cycle)

• Familiarity with PC based Windows programs (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).

• Capability with Pro-E 3-D solid modeling.
