Marketing and Communications Operations Leader

The Marketing and Communications Operations Leader is responsible for ensuring the Communications, Marketing and Public Engagement team’s strategy, plans, and KPIs are aligned with and enable the company’s strategy and growth objectives. This leader will be responsible for leading strategic planning processes; building rigor in approach to tracking marketing program performance; identifying and implementing process improvements; building integration, collaboration and capability across and beyond the function; and managing budget, reporting, and standard work resources/tools. This role will report to the VP of Enterprise Marketing and work closely with the Communications, Marketing and Public Engagement senior leadership team, the regional segment marketing leaders and other functional key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

· Develop and lead the function’s annual strategy and planning process; collaborate with senior leadership team members to ensure alignment with overall company and function strategy.

· Lead quarterly business reviews with the senior leadership team to assess progress toward goals and prioritize resources based on risks and opportunities.

· Lead measurement and reporting approach to track and communicate the function’s overall KPIs and performance to executive leadership.

· Analyze effectiveness of integrated marketing and communications campaigns; converting data into insights including implications and recommendations that are specific and actionable for the Marketing team.

· Identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage lean methodology and tools to help the team continuously improve.

· Provide program management direction for large, cross-functional projects, initiatives or events, tracking resources and deliverables from across and outside the team to ensure strong execution.

· Lead management of the function’s budget, including budget planning/allocation, tracking of spend to forecast, regular reviews with senior leadership, and coordination with finance

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

· At least 5-10 years of experience in marketing, finance, analytics or operational excellence roles

· Proven experience in strategic planning and program/project management

· Ability to develop and implement measurement strategies, metrics and KPIs

· Expertise in operational excellence, problem solving and process improvement

· Strong verbal and written communications and presentation skills

· Ability to collaborate across teams and lead/facilitate discussions

· Experience in forecasting and budget management

· Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

· Understanding of marketing and communications concepts and practices a plus

· Experience in workflow management tools a plus

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $117,500-155,350. Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
