Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Marketing Strategy & Operations Leader – Americas, the Marketing Excellence Specialist will deliver synergies and efficiencies and lead training and development for Americas Marketing. This role will work across the marketing team on the identification and development of standard marketing frameworks & tools, ensure agency partners are aligned to our needs and strategy, establish consistent budget management practices, design, implement, and iterate marketing training and development and lead marketing community engagement.

The ideal candidate is super organized, detail oriented, and has excellent communication skills. He or she loves tactical work and enjoys having a variety of things to do. He or she has experience developing standard processes and using project management software. Ultimately, this person wants to make everything as efficient, smooth, simple and repeatable as possible.

Where is the work:

This position is located at our headquarters in Davidson, NC, with a hybrid work arrangement (3 days a week in the office).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with marketers across four Business Units (Commercial, Residential, Thermo King and Trane Supply) and the three other Centers of Excellence (Digital & Marketing Technology, Brand & Content, Insights & Analytics) to:

  • Refine processes

  • Identify synergies, develop and roll out marketing standard work

  • Overhaul the Marketing SharePoint site including design, rollout and continuous improvement

  • Revamp budget management, including forecasting, reviews, reporting and coordination with finance

  • Improve marketing communications process to sales, product management, and leadership

  • Guide partner selection

  • Audit agency partners for effectiveness and efficiency, considering our in-house capacities

  • Coordinate partner events and regular review of how we’re leveraging partners

  • Create trainings

  • Design, implement, and iterate on marketing training programs on standard work, tools, and marketing technologies to address skill gaps and continuously advance capabilities

  • Serve as liaison between marketing and other learning and development functions, including HR

  • Plan engagement activities

  • Foster marketing community engagement, identifying opportunities to engage the team, developing feedback mechanisms, and planning virtual/in-person events

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience

  • Effective communicator and collaborator

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Marketing acumen

  • Ability to identify new and better ways to improve processes and achieve objectives

  • Detail oriented

  • Agency experience preferred but not required

  • Six Sigma a nice to have to improve processes and increase quality and efficiency

Key Competencies:

  • Experience in building operational programs that are scalable, defining roadmaps and translating strategic initiatives into tactical, objective programs

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, navigate conflicting demands, and meet deadlines

  • Experience leading cross-functional and inter-departmental projects, working both independently and as a team

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Creative thinker with a preference for working in a fast paced, hands-on environment

Compensation:

Base Compensation Range is $71,000 – $94,000+. Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
