Job Summary :

We are looking for an industry experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as an IT Leader in the field of Workday Enterprise Functional Integration and Solution Design Architecture. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for working across an enterprise matrixed team of talented professionals, HR product owners, HR/IT Leaders, architects, while also being accountable for designing and architecting innovative Workday solutions that align with our enterprise program objectives. By collaborating with key global stakeholders, our PMO, our system implementor, and core Workday product professionals, you will ensure the successful delivery of scalable and user-friendly solutions within the Workday platform. You will also hold a key role on our program office team providing strong guidance across 10+ product teams driving decision making and right solutions that are agile, scalable, and set the foundational framework aligned to our set vision. You will identify risk across the business process framework, in proposed designs and impact across modules. As an expert, you will mentor and provide guidance to cross-functional team members, fostering their professional growth and Workday expertise.

Where is the work:

This work has been designated as a Hybrid role, based out of our Davidson, NC office.

Responsibilities:

· Act as strategic partner as well as executional leader for all aspects of IT functional strategies and processes that impact the corporate goal of implementing a next generation HCM system and realizing the promised value and employee experience. Act as a lead influencer and help facilitate Global and Local design activities per extensive industry experience and prior Workday implementations.

· Provide leadership, functional, technical and subject matter guidance across the Workday platform and global team to drive right long-term solutions and to accelerate decision making.

· Align and partner with the HR Functional Integration Leader working across >10 product teams and IT teams to drive set outcomes.

· Direct talent selection, resource plans, and partner with external implementation partner (SI) directly.

· Perform leader reviews of key design recommendations, including transition and cutover plans, integrating best practices to ensure success.

· Align and lead system implementor partner and program change reviews, risk mitigation plans, and analysis of business process impact.

· Lead and architect comprehensive functional and technical solution designs that adhere to industry best practices and align with program and business objectives

· Collaborate closely with IT and HR core team and senior staff, and our system integrator partners to understand and document functional as well as technical requirements for Workday solutions.

· Oversee or guide the implementation of complex Workday configurations, integrations, and data views ensuring quality and scalability based on implementation experience

· Ensure the system’s stability, scalability, and performance contributing to the overall success of Workday implementations.

· Partner with our Enterprise Architecture organization to ensure gap/fit and alignment of Workday to target state capabilities.

· Lead the cross-platform cloud connect strategic delivery plans (i.e., ServiceNow) and play a leading role on our Employee Experience council.

· Represent Trane Technologies in our Workday Delivery Assurance reviews with the product vendor to achieve positive results and reduce impact to plan.

· Play a lead role on our Program Office and provide strategic advice to leadership, product teams, and other key stakeholders on best practices, industry trends, and potential areas for improvement within their Workday solutions

· Stay up to date with the latest features and capabilities of the Workday platform being a mentor for the core program team to accelerate their capabilities and to lead a continuous improvement product roadmap for Trane Technologies.

· Lead key strategies for M&A and other business change impacts to drive best program integration and recommendation.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with teams to implement and test proposed solutions, build strong user stories, ensure proper functionality and data integrity, as well as good user experience per recommended change.

· Be an active participant on our design thinking and employee experience value realization efforts aligned to our business case benefits.

Overall, your responsibilities will be crucial in ensuring a smooth and successful transition and deployment of the next generation HR technology as well as development of a strong sustainment model.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, HR, or a related field or experience

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in Workday functional, solution design and architecture, with proven leadership experience on several large business deployments

· 15+ years of relevant experience is preferred, with a comprehensive skill set that encompasses technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of HR systems and processes. This includes:

o IT operations and functional support

o Leading large enterprise platform and project delivery

o Transition of complex HR systems to cloud solutions

o Strategic planning and managing multiple, concurrent projects

o Leading diverse, global teams

o Partnering with business stakeholders

o Leading and influencing transformational changes

o Working knowledge and experience with Agile and Lean principles in IT

o Extensive knowledge of cross Workday modules (10+ years), configuration options, and design implications including but not limited to Core HR, Compensation, Talent Management, Recruiting, Payroll, Learning, etc.

o Strong understanding of Workday integration technologies (EIB, Workday Studio, Web Services, etc.), data mapping activities, and partnering with cross-program technology teams.

o Proven experience working with premier workday partners, best practice tools, and smart program operating frameworks.

o Understanding and experience with Workday security framework, impact on configurations, including roles and permissions

o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical solutions

o Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, adept at collaborating with HR partners, stakeholders, and technical teams

o Workday certifications across key disciplines are highly desired and proven leadership deployment experience

Key Competencies:

• Qualified candidates must have strong experience with Integrative Solution Design with Workday and Enterprise Program Delivery and be experienced with key functionality, data insights, and must be Product Roadmap savvy

• 10+ years in successful large Workday deployments and partnering with top system implementers.

• Qualified candidates will be motivational thought leaders, driven individuals, and possess exceptional industry experience, coupled with a strong working knowledge of complex ERP and HR technology solutions and associated platform components

• Leader must have proven experience with large Workday industry business deployment with strategic business impact with Workday delivery

• Strong facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills applied across matrixed and external teams.

• Ability to assess business needs (current and future), and drive effective and efficient design, transition, and deployment delivery.

• Strong communications skills and a demonstrated ability to gather facts and deliver succinct, often difficult, messages to all levels of leadership. Influence change needed, and must act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders within HR and IT.

• Leader of change and influencing key stakeholders on right design decisions for agility and scale. They must serve as a culture catalyst.
