Job Summary

This role supports Engineered Solutions, which is part of Trane Technologies Life Sciences Portfolio.

The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in our organization. They are responsible for driving Engineered Solution's annual financial goals and ensuring profitable revenue growth.

Responsibilities include prospecting, establishing, and maintaining profitable relationships with new and existing customers to increase Engineered Solutions sales. Manage and process all communications (opportunities, quotes, customer requests for information) and campaigns to prospect for new leads (email and phone) while complying with current pricing guidelines and management direction. What you will do:

  • As an integral part of our team, you will actively Promote our FARRAR values through your productivity and quality of work, manage internal and external relationships, actively seek out and participate in Continuous Improvement practices, and demonstrate a willingness to engage and support team initiatives.

  • Achievement of Sales Goals - The Inside Sales Rep is trained on Engineered Solutions offerings and assists existing customers, distributors, and new account prospects with the buying process. Key activities include lead follow-up, outbound prospect calling, delivery of promotions, answering product configuration questions, and persuasively selling the value of Engineered Solutions.

  • Minimum Requirement to have ten live (person-to-person) telephone interactions per day with customers.

  • Account Management- Follow standardized sales processes, maintain an accurate and complete database in the CRM system, generate sales opportunities through inbound lead qualification and outbound prospecting activities, issue and follow up on quotes, manage customer contacts in CRM, and help resolve customer satisfaction issues.

  • New Account Acquisition – Prospect for new business opportunities and engage with current customers to grow company sales.

  • Gather Market Intelligence—Reporting all market trends and competitive intelligence through detailed account notes and engagement in team meetings.

  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

What you will bring:

Relative Work Experience: Minimum 1-4 years of experience in a sales environment (life science experience preferred).

Education: A BS degree in a related field is preferred.

Certifications / Licenses: None.

Computer Systems / Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with customer relationship management systems (CRM) is required.

  • Uses sales process: Follows effective management systems and procedures for growing sales.

  • Some limited travel to customer visits and tradeshows (<5% time).

Compensation:

Total Target Compensation: $50,000 - $67,000

Disclaimer: This "range" could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed, education, experience, travel requirements for the job, or because of a system the employer uses to measure earnings by quantity or quality of production (so, for example, positions that may not have traditional salary ranges). Our prosperous commission plans grow over time with a successful employee’s growing pipeline. Some sales professionals may eventually move to 100% commission.
