The Program Manager – FBAP & Claims is responsible for managing the Freight Bill Audit & Pay as well as the damage claims filing process for NA region. This role is responsible for all Key Performance Indicators relating to the end-to-end freight billing and end-to-end filing of damages to freight during transit with NA transportation carriers. They must work cross-functionally and think strategically to resolve issues, identify gaps, and find root causes to drive resolution with key stakeholders.

Where is the work:

Hybrid:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week. 

*What you will do:  *

• Manage Key Performance Indicators and update the MDI (management for daily improvement) board for the freight billing, audit, and transportation claims processes

• Participate and drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategic discussions with Freight Bill and Audit vendor(s) to improve process, data accuracy, and manage continuous improvement in support of the Senior Procurement Program Manager

• Project manager for audit findings resolution; act as conduit between external audit vendor, internal procurement team, and carriers to drive improved recovery

• Responsible for process improvements and driving standard work compliance with internal and external stakeholders to resolve defects within the freight billing process

• Oversee all claims filings and escalations as needed. Work with all business units to ensure all applicable claims are being filed timely and work with the carriers on all resolutions.

• Project manager for future claim mitigation opportunities with business units and carriers.

• Ownership of carrier score card metrics for freight billing, audit, and claims to drive improvement with the carriers and procurement team

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree required - Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred

• Experience in logistics, material planning, distribution, or manufacturing desired

• Demonstrated success with transformation change management, problem solving, and process thinking

• Demonstrated success with stakeholder management and communications

• Proficient Microsoft applications knowledge required. Advanced Excel skills highly preferred.

• Oracle or other systems experience preferred

• Operational Excellence Execution - Solve problems across the entire value stream with a lean mindset, and participate in continuous improvement efforts in order to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance productivity and quality

• ISC Finance & Economics - Understand accrual process for month end activities as well as understanding of funding through PO and invoice process

• BOS Leadership - Understand and deploy BOS fundamentals (e.g. 9-step problem solving, standard work, Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) basics, value stream analysis)| advocate for and drive continuous improvement for superior customer experience| look first to BOS for standard work. Go and see the real work (e.g. Gemba before problem solving).

Compensation: *  *

Base Pay Range: $95,000- $125,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
