Trane Technologies Executive Compensation Analyst in Davidson, North Carolina

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director, Executive Compensation and Benefits, this role’s responsibilities will primarily focus on supporting Executive Compensation, Equity-Based Compensation and Executive Benefit plans and programs. This professional will be responsible for the benchmarking of and compensation recommendations for all executive level roles. In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing the company’s annual short-term incentive program and assisting in the preparation of the annual proxy statement and other required disclosures.

This role is based in Davidson, NC and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage / support executive compensation initiatives (Benchmarking, modelling, drafting of educational, training and communication materials, offer letters, and non-competes).

  • Manage data submissions for annual and ad-hoc executive compensation and/or rewards surveys.

  • Evaluate and analyze new or modified senior management positions, determine appropriate levels and benchmarking, and collaborate with HR business partners on developing recommendations for executive compensation packages, promotional increases, compensation adjustments, retention strategies, separations and compensation planning

  • Manage the company’s global short-term incentive program including annual program implementation, communications and preparation of forecasts, budgets and analytics

  • Partner with Corporate Finance on cost accruals and forecasting expense of the annual short-term incentive program

  • Support the preparation of Human Resources and Compensation Committee meeting materials, including drafting, modeling, and conducting market assessments for executive leadership review

  • Supports various global data modelling activities, research and analysis related to publicly filed information for proxy publication, and summary compensation tables

  • Review and track proxy advisor policy changes as well as perform pro-forma analyses utilizing ISS and Glass Lewis models

  • Support the annual enrollment process for the Executive Deferred Compensation Plan (“EDCP”) and perform periodic audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with plan terms.

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual proxy statement

  • Organize and maintain executive compensation, benefits and program information so that it can quickly and easily be referenced

  • Document processes and procedures and make suggestions for process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Analytical, forward-thinking, and solution-focused professional with 3+ years of success in global compensation, project, and / or infrastructure development

  • Ability to adapt efficiently and perform cross-functional tasks under complex structures while maintaining an optimum level of confidentiality, productivity, agility, and high performance

  • Knowledge of advanced compensation fundamentals and statistical analysis at a global level

  • Expert-level Excel skills as well as Word & PowerPoint

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with team colleagues, people leaders and executive team members

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and use critical thinking, judgement and interpretation to select the best course of action

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an HR/business-related field or Finance

  • Extremely strong attention to detail and ability to think strategically

  • Team player, willing to roll up their sleeves and jump in to help wherever necessary

Base Compensation Range is $82,550 to $109,950.

*Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
