The Domain Architect will be responsible for establishing strategies across multiple business units and leading the selection and adoption of transformative technologies to meet stakeholders’ objectives. This role involves setting the vision for future state technology, advocating for enterprise target states, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions. The Domain Architect will work closely with various functions, including supply chain planning, digital experience, marketing, engineering, sales, and operations, to ensure alignment with business objectives. This is a remote position.

*What you will do: *
Vision and Strategy:
Set the vision for future state technology to transform Trane’s capabilities for the Strategic Business Unit.
Advocate for and adopt enterprise target states and roadmaps that enable business objectives across multiple functions.
Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
Research, evaluate, and lead proof of concepts for technologies (e.g., Retail POS, customer portals, e-commerce) to assess applicability, compatibility, and viability.
Research and evaluate new or alternative solutions to enhance existing capabilities, improve business productivity, reduce risk, and enhance operational effectiveness.
Architecture and Standards:
Define and design future state reference architectures, standards, and patterns to drive standardization, simplification, reduced time to market, and lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Inform long-range and annual planning and govern projects in alignment with architectural direction.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with business leaders, project managers, and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Leadership:
Lead and mentor development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to development teams.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the IT team.
Global Exposure:
Leverage experience in a multinational company to address global challenges and opportunities.
Ensure solutions are scalable and adaptable to different regions and markets.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience:
15 years of proven and progressive experience in IT.
8 years of experience in technology architecture, design, strategy, and management.
5 years of experience in architecture supporting one or more business functions such as supply chain, marketing, sales, operations, or digital experience.
Global exposure in a multinational company is an asset.
Experience creating strategies that improve capabilities, productivity, and effectiveness, including the implementation of processes and techniques.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in architectural frameworks and methodologies
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
Understanding of security principles and best practices.
Experience with data modeling and database design.
Knowledge of network architecture and protocols.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: * *
Base Pay Range: $ 130,000-190,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
