Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our Corporate Contracts Americas Legal Team!

As a Contract Manager in this newly established role within the team, you will be responsible for supporting contract review and negotiation of contracts across our Global Procurement Organization. You will work closely and collaborate with a small team of attorneys to drive contractual best practices and mitigate risk. While emphasis will be placed on IT and software contracts, experience with other commercial agreements is beneficial.

This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite a week) and will be based out of our Davidson, NC location.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Corporate Contracts Americas Legal Team to support contract review and negotiation for Trane Technologies’ Global Procurement Organization.

  • Support includes but is not limited to recommending the use of established templates and standards; efficient contract review; advising procurement and business stakeholders on contract risks; and negotiating contract provisions directly with suppliers.

  • Emphasis on IT and software related contracts, with additional experience with other supply and professional services agreements.

  • Work closely with the Corporate Contracts attorneys to implement best-in-class solutions, tools, and training to improve supplier contract processes and reduce legal risks in Trane Technologies’ supply chain.

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with the Global Procurement Organization, IT organization, and other business and subject matter expert stakeholders.

  • Support the improvement of standard work within the contracting process.

  • Ensure contractual documents are aligned with Trane Technologies’ business controls, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years related experience and degree in related field.

  • Strong contract review, drafting and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work with a variety of contract management tools and solutions.

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating complex contracts, with an emphasis on software/SaaS agreements.

  • Working knowledge of various other supplier contracts and other transactional documents with a willingness to gain in-depth understanding.

  • Expert grasp on contracting concepts and strong analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

  • Judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary.

  • Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage workload, manage simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines within a changing, fast–paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work well with colleagues and all levels of legal, procurement and business functions.

  • Flexible and adaptable – unafraid of ambiguity or a challenge.

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Percent Travel: <5%.

Base Pay Range : $$95,000-126,000+/annual
