We are currently hiring a highly skilled and experienced IT Cloud Solutions Architect to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based architectures that align with our business objectives. This role will be focused on the strategic and transformational architecture efforts of cloud computing. As a Cloud Solutions Architect you will work closely with our Enterprise Architecture, Security and other IT teams where you collaborate on target state architectures and lead it through implementation to support our business growth. Additionally, you will play a critical role in optimizing cloud performance, monitoring resource allocation, and controlling costs to ensure effective financial management of cloud spend.

This is a Remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures. Develop architectural guidance, best practices, and implementation strategies for cloud-based solutions.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment and management of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Ensure compliance, performance optimization, and cost control across cloud environments.

  • Cloud Financial Management: Conduct financial analysis and cost optimization exercises to identify potential cost savings opportunities, improve resource utilization, and provide financial transparency to stakeholders. Collaborating with Finance to develop budgets, track cloud spend, and ensure adherence to financial targets.

  • Cloud Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and best practices to protect sensitive data. Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and monitor compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Cloud Performance Optimization and Monitoring: Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost optimization. Identify bottlenecks, provide recommendations for improvement, and optimize resource allocation to achieve optimal system performance.

  • Cloud Migration and Integration: Collaborate with teams to develop cloud migration strategies and execute cloud migrations smoothly. Integrate cloud solutions with existing on-premises infrastructure and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, system administrators, and end-users. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and ensure high service availability.

  • Provide thought leadership and mentoring.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of proven and progressive experience in IT.

  • 3+ years experience hands-on experience with cloud architectures, including the architectural design and deployment of cloud solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Solutions Architect or similar role, with deep knowledge of cloud platforms and various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • Experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, database architecture, virtualization, software design, networking, DevOps, DevSecOps and Microsoft and Unix operating systems.

  • Strong expertise in cloud architecture design, including fault tolerance, scalability, and highly available systems.

  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, preferably with hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud resources using AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP.

  • Sound knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and secure networking.

  • Experience with cloud application development and proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Terraform, Java)

  • Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and tools, as well as integration patterns and technologies.

  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, are highly desirable.

  • Percentage of Travel: 10%.

Base Pay Range: $142,800 to $189,200.

Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
