Job Summary:

Oversees supplier inventories, monitorssupplier inventory levels, and analysessupplier tooling and resources capacity and theeffects onTrane TechnologiesSBU inventory levels. Drives supplier process and systemic quality improvements using SPC, Lean and Six Sigma tools to prevent quality non-conformances.Assists in the selection and implementation of IT supplier sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and cost competitiveness.Monitors and controls processes by checking the quality indicators and supporting Manufacturing and Quality Management.Position is responsible for effective execution of thePPAP, Root Cause Corrective Actions, and Determines appropriate stock levels by monitoring control over the volume of raw materials, parts in process and finished products.Coordinates cyclical recounting of materials and reconciliation of actual inventories against system records.Ensures supply of raw materials and components toTrane Technologiesfacilities have appropriate inventory levels and records the entry of finished products to the correspondingTrane Technologiesplant.Oversees supplier inventories, monitors supplier inventory levels, and analyses supplier tooling and resources capacity and the effects on Trane Technologies SBU inventory levels. Responsibilities:

  • Conducts Quality assessments, in support of new sourcing, to determine if a supplier’s quality systems, technical competency and environmental policies meet TT’s expectations.

  • Leads initial Supplier orientation, provides on-boarding training as required.

  • Active participant of Sourcing Council and Commodity teams – providing the quality and capacity detail required to support source selection and rationalization.

  • Drives on-time PPAP and Flawless Launch for responsible components.

  • Drives process and systemic quality improvements, at assigned supplier sites, through the use of quality tools (SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma) and validates improvements through defined measurables to reduce quality non-conformances “SCAR”.

  • Continually monitors assigned suppliers “SCAR” status and works with suppliers and plant SQE to minimize quality impact to our Operations and end Customer.

  • Performs analysis (Commodity, Quality Systems, DPPM, DMR) to determine trends along with proposed actions to drive performance improvement.

  • Prepares, distributes, and communicates periodic Supplier performance status and risk assessments to regional leadership as required.

  • Works to actively deploy TT’s defined Supplier Development Procedures, Processes, and work instructions within the region.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Technical degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

  • 0-5 years of plant manufacturing experience

  • 0-5 years of experience using quality tools/methodologies (PPAP, APQP, RCCA, SPC, & Lean Principles)

  • 0-5 years working experience in the Quality / Supplier Quality for Casting Processes

  • Practical and/or theoretical understanding of Industry specific quality registration (ISO9001:2015 & IATF16949)

  • Ability to obtain APICS Certification (CPIM) within 1 year of hire date

  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the company

  • Ability to work cross-functionally

  • Speaks English as a primary/secondary language

  • Ability to travel up to 50%
