Engineered Floors Employment Warper Creeler in Dalton, Georgia

Creelers effectively work to maintain the production of quality carpet.

  • Load correct yarn on creel racks, and verify tube and case labels are correct

  • Splice ends of yarn, cutting minimal excess yarn and placing in appropriate container

  • Blow ends of yarn back through creel tubes to the machine

  • Remove empty tubes from the creel and neatly stack them in a box

  • Remove packages of unused yarn from the creel and place into inventory

  • Observe the yarn path and correct any issues

  • Neatly stack “skinner cones” in boxes

  • Maintain and use tools of the job properly, e.g. scissors, snips, ring knife and ear plugs, yarn dolly/buggy, broom and dust pan, and apron

  • Maintain a clean work area, keeping creels free of lint, dirt, and yarn scraps

  • Ability to reach posts and tubes of creel rack ranging from 1’ to 6.5’ high, and manually lift and control packages of yarn that weight up to 12 lbs.

  • Must be able to push yarn dollies/cart loaded with yarn through the creel with a maximum weight of 500 pounds

  • Ability to perform various repetitive movements, including: bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and standing
